FJG recently hosted a 2008 Healthcare Update Seminar. A representative from The Vermont Campaign for Health Care Security Education Fund (VCHCSEF) presented information at the seminar .VCHCSEF is a non-profit organization working to educate Vermonters about how to enroll in the Catamount Health and other Vermont public health care programs. VCHCSEF is a project of AARP-Vermont, Vermont-NEA, Vermont Citizens Campaign for Health, Community Catalyst and America's Agenda: Health Care for All. www.catamounthealth.org

Update - 10/1/2007

The State of Vermont launched Catamount Health Insurance on October 1, 2007. Applications are being accepted for adults that qualify. Catamount Health Insurance offers several options to applicants under plans offered by either MVP Health Care or Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont.The cost of Catamount Health is based on the applicant's gross monthly income.

Green Mountain Care is the new outreach organization the State of Vermont has created to assist the public with State run health care programs such as Catamount Health, Dr. Dynasaur, Vermont Health Access Plan (VHAP) and Medicaid. www.GreenMountatinCare.org (1-800-250-8427).
