Matt works primarily with FJG's Group Insurance Department, assisting New England businesses with their insurance and employee benefit plans. Matt also acts as a liaison for FJG's brokers, investment professionals and customers. "The FJG professionals have such a wide range of experience in different areas that I believe it's vital to convey to our clients just how much expertise we have to offer. FJG's wealth of human capital includes experts in Life, Health, Disability, Key-Person, Buy-Sell, Long Term Care, Business Exit Planning, Financial Planning, Retirement Planning, as well as group and individual investment specialists. It's my mission to help our clients become fully aware of all the different ways we can serve them."
With years spent working in different market spaces, Matt Hankes is a career sales professional. His diverse business background adds a depth of experience to his current responsibilities in FJG's Group Insurance Department.
Before joining Fleischer Jacobs Group, Matt managed all aspects of new business generation, product development and business development for Fedmarket.com, a Federal Sales Consultancy based in Bethesda, Maryland, where he provided strategic advice to enterprise customers seeking to engage federal government agencies in business opportunities.
Matt was also a founder and managing director of Jivaro, a professional headhunting firm, specializing in technology placements in Silicon valley. Matt directed operations of the technical recruiting division and handled sales to corporate accounts. During his management tenure with the firm, he oversaw company business expansion and rapid revenue growth.
Hankes lives in South Burlington with his wife, Kara, and their two children, Katherine and Lily. Together, they enjoy the many recreational opportunities Vermont has to offer. Matt and Kara met on a chairlift in Sun Valley, Idaho. "We continue to do as a family, what originally brought us together and that is enjoying the mountain lifestyle."
