Insurance | Long Term Care |

This year marks the 10th Anniversary of designating November as the month to increase awareness about the need for Americans to plan for their long term care needs. Initially started by the American Association for Long Term Care Insurance, (AALTCI), (www.aaltci.org/), as LTC Awareness Week, several years ago it expanded to a month.
Long Term Care Awareness Month gives an opportunity to spread the word about the need for Americans to plan ahead and consider using long term care insurance as a risk management tool to protect their assets, maintain their independence and not burden their families if and when they reach a point when they can't take care of themselves.
